2019 has been a great year so far for Universal Basic Income. There are lots of progress so far!
- Andrew Yang hits the September 12 debates with a contest to implement a universal basic income income / freedom dividend trial for 10 randomly selected families throughout the United States.
- New York legislation is introduced to test Universal Basic Income and figure out the feasibility of implementing it.
- Later this month (September 2019) there is a basic income march which will have at least 1,000 people marching for a universal basic income implementation in the United States. UPDATE: Pushed to October.
The Universal Basic Income is backed by Andrew Yang, a 2020 United States presidential candidate that is running with a Universal Basic Income which he brands as the Freedom Dividend.
